The 13th Thai-Chinese Strategic Research Seminar

Strategic Partnership to Jointly Build a Sustainable Community
12–13 November 2024
Chonburi, Thailand

I recently had the honour of attending the 13th Thai-Chinese Strategic Research Seminar in Chonburi, Thailand. Under the theme of "Strategic Partnership to Jointly Build a Sustainable Community," this event was a vibrant platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration, gathering experts and researchers committed to sustainable development.

As a guest speaker, I shared my insights on AI for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting the potential of artificial intelligence in driving solutions for environmental and societal challenges. It was an enriching experience to present my work to a diverse audience and to see the shared enthusiasm for integrating technology into sustainability efforts.

The seminar offered invaluable networking opportunities, allowing me to connect with researchers and professionals from both Thailand and China. Conversations during the event opened doors to potential collaborations that align closely with my future research goals, especially in areas of environmental monitoring and data-driven approaches to sustainability.

A highlight of the event was meeting fellow UK alumni who are now making strides in academia and research. Sharing our journeys since graduation and discussing our current projects underscored the global impact of our UK education. This seminar proved to be a wonderful occasion for reconnecting and fostering friendships with professionals who share similar values and goals.

Overall, the 13th Thai-Chinese Strategic Research Seminar was a remarkable experience. It reinforced the importance of cross-border partnerships in achieving sustainable development and reminded me of the power of collaboration in tackling global challenges. I am excited about the future collaborations that may arise from this event and look forward to contributing to our shared vision for a sustainable community.
